How to Eat Like a Child (and Other Lessons in Not Being a Grownup)
- Rehearsals: Tuesdays, 6:15 to 7:15 at R. A. Brown Middle School
- Performance: May 21 at Liberty High School Theater
- Dates: February 1 to May 21 (15 weeks)
- Ages: 4th – 6th Grade
Show Description:
Based on a successful television show that starred Dick Van Dyke, this musical romp through the joys and sorrows of being a child is hilarious. The show also enjoyed an off-Broadway run in New York. The cast members give 23 “lessons” to the audience in such subjects as “How to Beg for a Dog,” “How to Torture Your Sister” (with a jelly donut!), “How to Act After Being Sent to Your Room,” “How to Watch More Television,” and “How to Laugh Hysterically”. Comedic acting, lots of singing and dancing as well as prop and set-making opportunities combine to make a rip-roaring good time for all participants. Enroll early; class size is strictly limited.

As he wanders around the pond, he finds that all of the other pond creatures have something that he wishes he had. The alligators, the turtles and the fireflies all have their own special talents. But what can Freddie do? As part of this play, you can help Freddie find his special gift! The show includes seven wonderful songs and speaking lines for all participants.
